These Terms govern your use of the Babblo mobile application ("App"), available on iOS and Android. By using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Babblo ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Use Licence

Permission is granted to download and use Babblo for personal, non-commercial purposes only. This is the grant of a licence, not a transfer of title. Under this licence you may not:

• Modify or copy our app or its content
• Use the app for any commercial purpose or for any public display
• Attempt to reverse engineer any software contained in the app
• Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations
• Transfer the app to another person or "mirror" it on any other server

3. User Account

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Credits and One-Time Purchases

Babblo offers a credit-based system. Credits may be purchased as one-time in-app purchases through the App and are used to access conversation sessions. All one-time purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.

5. Subscriptions

Babblo offers auto-renewable subscription plans that provide ongoing access to features or credit allowances ("Subscriptions"). By purchasing a Subscription you agree to the following terms:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g. monthly or annually) at the price shown at the time of purchase. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: Your Subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Free trials: If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your Subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged.
• Price changes: We may change Subscription prices from time to time. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price change. Continued use of the Subscription after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• No refunds for partial periods: Unused portions of a Subscription period are not refundable when a Subscription is cancelled mid-period, except where required by applicable law.
• Credit rollover: Unused credits from a Subscription billing period roll over to the next period. Rolled-over credits are capped at twice (2×) your monthly plan allowance — for example, a 10-credits-per-month subscriber may accumulate a maximum of 20 credits. Credits exceeding this cap are forfeited at renewal. Credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded.

Managing your Subscription on iOS

If you subscribed via the Apple App Store, Apple handles billing on our behalf. To manage or cancel your Subscription, go to Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad. You can also visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the renewal date to take effect. For refund requests, contact Apple Support directly, as Apple is responsible for billing on iOS.

Managing your Subscription on Android

If you subscribed via Google Play, Google handles billing on our behalf. To manage or cancel your Subscription, open the Google Play app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You can also visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the renewal date to take effect. For refund requests, contact Google Play Support directly, as Google is responsible for billing on Android.

6. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service. By using Babblo, you agree to the collection and use of information as described therein.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our service:

• For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
• To violate any international, federal, provincial, or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances
• To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
• To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate
• To submit false or misleading information
• To attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its related systems

8. AI-Generated Content

Babblo uses artificial intelligence to facilitate language learning conversations. AI-generated content is provided for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content. You should not rely on it as a substitute for professional language instruction.

9. Service Availability

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend our service, and any service or material we provide via the app, in our sole discretion without notice. We will not be liable if, for any reason, all or any part of the service is unavailable at any time or for any period.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Babblo, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

12. Children's Use

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. By using Babblo, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
